Worship

Worship is the core value that underpins all other values.  We are called to raise a Presence People who live lives of adoration and honour of Jesus, overflowing into radical generosity that sows all we are and have for the purpose of exalting His name for others to see and hear of His kingship.
1. Worship and Wonder
The core priority of this house… the one thing we desire… is to live in awe and wonder of who Jesus is… what He has done, is, and will do!

The wonder of our salvation: the forgiveness of sins, the experience of knowing Him, the anticipation of increasingly encountering Him… all leads to a desire to worship Jesus!

A life of worship is the High Calling of Presence Church.  All other functions flow from this High Call!

Presence Church is passionate about praising and worshipping King Jesus.  We believe He abides where there is true, spirit and truth worship.
2. Worship and honour of Him. His house His way!
We believe worship is a two-way experience!

Firstly, our praise and adoration move the heart of Jesus.  The Word tells us “He inhabits our praises”.  There is an abiding of His presence when we prioritise the adoration of who He is!

Secondly, as we worship, we become increasingly aligned with His heart!  He begins to speak and leads us into His heart.  Jesus is not only the focus, but the lead of all worship.  We desire to give His heart’s desire in song, prayer and ministry, every time we gather in His presence.
3. Worship and Generosity
At Presence Church, we believe worship is more than a community experience.

It is a life call!  We are here to raise and walk with a people who are living an extravagant life of worship in every area of life.

All that we are and have can bring worship to Him.  Our time, gifts and resources are entrustments He has given all of us to honour His heart and release a sound of worship.

We look to live a generous life of worship in every area in response to the work of Jesus. We have the ultimate example in our Heavenly Father, who gave all He had… His Son… to open the way for relationship with us.

Our lives are no longer our own… in response to the radical generosity of God, we choose to live extravagantly generously for the purpose of pleasing His heart and representing Him well in the world.

Encounter

Presence Church is a place to encounter God! A key vision word for Presence Church is “prepare a place for the people to encounter me!”.

Jesus is alive and active in the life of the Church through His Spirit.  We are expectant to hear His heart in the here and now as well as experience His power through healing and deliverance.

As we live a life of worship, we align with His heart, bringing us into an experiential knowledge of the resurrected Christ that transforms lives… Spirit, soul, and body! We have three key focuses in establishing a culture of encounter
1. Personal
We are unapologetic in pursuing the heart and hand of Jesus in the life of every individual who comes into Presence Church.

We are a prophetic people, growing in hearing and releasing the mind of Christ into the lives of people. We are committed to each individual hearing the heart of God for their lives.  Every person has a destiny they were created for and the prophetic reveals as we journey with Him.

We also believe in the power of Jesus.  We are a house that will unashamedly expect the sick to be healed, miracles to break into the impossible, and deliverance to come to those caught in challenging and dark places.

It is our conviction that Jesus is still encountering His people and desires to increase our experiential knowledge of Him in the days ahead.
2. Community
We know Presence Church is called to be a people who are led by the voice of Jesus!

As we gather, we anticipate Him to bring revelation and direction that enables us to grow and be established as His representatives in the city and region.

We are a community that understands it is Jesus who will build His church.  As a people, we look for His ongoing guidance, counsel, and revelation to grow us into the fullness of who He is!

Our call as a church is to be a family who live and breathe the life of Christ.  As we are led by His voice, experiencing His presence as a spiritual family, we are transformed to look like Him.
3. Region
Presence Church is also called to bring a region into an encounter with Jesus.

We are amongst a people who need a living Christ!

Many do not know that He is alive… Still speaks…. Still heals… Still delivers…. Still restores.

Presence Church is a house of refuge for city to encounter the resurrected Jesus.

As we host the presence of Jesus, we are unashamed of His name and will continually seek to exalt His name and spread His fame that those who need Him can encounter and experience His life and freedom for themselves.

Raising a Royal Priesthood

We are called to be a royal priesthood in the earth. Priests minister to God. Kings minister to the world.

Presence Church has been called to raise a people who are bold, having been equipped to minister the Kingdom where Holy Spirit leads. Our call is to first minister as priests to God, in worship, prayer and intercession that mirrors His desires. Then to minister as Kings, being the hands and feet of Christ in the world, doing the same works He did through partnership with Holy Spirit.

This call is a three-fold ministry of equipping, impartation and releasing.
1. Equipping
Presence Church is an equipping house that seeks to nurture and establish spiritual gifts that transform lives and regions.

We see in Ephesians 4 that the saints are to equipped for the work of ministry.  We are called to raise a people who are fully equipped to bring the Kingdom of God into places where darkness has reigned.

A people equipped with the gifts and anointings of the Spirit are a powerful and dangerous people to the Kingdom of darkness.  It is the heart of the Lord to give His gifts and we are called to be a place where people can grow in confidence, boldness and maturity in co-labouring with Holy Spirit.
2. Impartation
We are a house that believes in the Biblical practice of laying of hands. We recognise gifts, anointing and releasing into new seasons of ministry comes through this practice.

Presence Church is called to raise a people in the anointing of Holy Spirit, releasing an impartation that marks people for a new season of Kingdom works.

Impartation is an endowment of Holy Spirit that when fanned into flame, used and matured through equipping, will produce fruit in our lives and the region.
3. Releasing
Presence Church is also called to raise and release people to step into the mighty exploits they were created for. As a Presence People, we recognise the harvest is ripe and the calling of Holy Spirit to equip His people to be sent out to reap in the work of the Gospel of Christ and His Kingdom.

Equipping and impartation are all for the purpose of placing spiritual swords in the hands of the saints that they would step into Kingdom exploits with and for Jesus.

We are called to release people in their ministry to God, the Presence Church family, and the region.

Kingdom Mission

At the core of the heart of Presence Church is to see the gospel of the Kingdom break outside of our four walls and have an impact on the region and beyond. We are commissioned with ministering the Kingdom of God to the lost.

A key verse is Matthew 9:35-38:

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Presence Church has been marked with a passion to advance the gospel in power and authority, as representatives of Heaven in the earth in the ministry of reconciliation.  As we pursue this call, we recognise the fruit of this mission brings eternal glory to the Father as well as leaving a legacy and foundation for the next generation to continue the mission to advance the Kingdom.
1. Power and Authority - Fullness of Body
Presence Church has been commissioned to advance the Kingdom of God in power and authority.  The call to live Isaiah 61 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me to… heal, deliver, restore” is foundational to bringing salvation to a region.

As we advance in the power and authority given by Christ in Matthew 28, we will see the flow of the Spirit of revival, that brings a region face to face with the gospel that saves, heals, and delivers.
2. Heaven on Earth (Ecclesia) – Governing
As a part of the Great Commission, Presence Church is called to see people released to bring the Kingdom of God to their spheres of influence.

We understand that, as the Church, we are called to govern and minister the Kingdom to those in every area of society. As gateways for Heaven to break out into the Earth, Presence Church seeks to mature in wisdom and revelation that manifests the ways of Christ in every sphere of culture we are represented in.

As those who live and function within society, the Church is to bring the life and ways of Heaven as ambassadors of King Jesus… released with His mind and resources to bring fruitful change to systems and structures
3. Eternally Minded - Christ’s full reward
Our motivation for the fulfilling the Great Commission is not to grow Presence Church.

We have been called to live for Christ… that He would receive the fruit He paid for on the cross.

As a Kingdom people, we live for eternity. We live this life to be as fruitful as possible recognising our lives are echoing in eternity.

Presence Church is called to leave a legacy that sets the next generation in place to continue in power and authority, to further establish the governance of King Jesus in the region.
